An application to create 3D drawing Totally Free?

In the world of design, 3D projects are the pinnacle of success. Getting to create projects with realistic aspects is the cry of fashion and it is that at sight you like to see realistic images. Many animated movies that have this technology make more money than those that do not have this technology, but it is because the brain likes live action on all levels.

Blender.org has launched a 3D modeling creation software that allows you to sculpt 3D figures as if they were made of plasticine. You can create avatar characters and then give them movement.

History of computer graphics programming

Computer graphing was born with the emergence of digital computers. The Whirlwhin, developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), was one of the first computers to use a screen capable of rendering very low-quality graphics in the 1951s.

In 1959 the first computer drawing system emerged, the DAC (Design Augmented by Computers) created by General Motors and IBM. The DAC-1 allowed the user to describe a car in 3D with the ability to rotate and change the angle of the image.

In 1960 - 1970 Ivan Suterland, a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), created a program that he called Sketchpad, through which he could make traces on the computer screen using a light pen: 1961 another MIT student, Steve Russell created the first video game, called "Spacewar" or Space War in Spanish. The Space War was an immediate success because of the graphics used.

The 1970s saw the introduction of computer graphics to the world of television. Computer Image Corporation (CIC), developed several complex hardware and software systems such as ANIMAC, SCANIMATE and CAESAR.

1978 The Central Laboratory of Applied Physics at Johns Hopkins University publishes a work that would become the work "Matematical elements for computer graphics" by David F. Rogers. This defines the graphics, created and generated by a computer, where the management is based on a graphic station composed of material elements such as the Processor and the Graphics Card, the acquisition tools such as the Digitizer or the Digital Camera, the interface peripherals of user such as the mouse or the graphic tablet, of storage media such as the Hard Disk or USB memories and of reproduction tools such as the printer.

However, all this happened in history and although we were born or lived in those years we will all agree that this technology was used by affluent sectors and was not within our reach, that is, only entrepreneurs, rich people and high society had these technologies, it was not something ordinary people would have in the comfort of their home.

At present these technologies are more advanced, but perhaps even in these glorious years where everything is accessible, you believe that creating 3D models is only for the economically privileged and you consider that only the film industry has access to these software tools.

But I want to tell you that if you have a computer, you can let your imagination run wild with a computer that is totally free with open source, it is Blender 3D. Blender's wide range of modeling tools make creating, transforming, sculpting, and editing your models a breeze.

With Blender you easily unwrap your mesh and use image textures or paint your own directly on the model.

Blender allows:

  1. Quick cube, cylinder, sphere and camera projections

  2. Conformal and angle-based unwrapping (with edge stitching and corner fixation)

  3. Paint directly onto the mesh

  4. Multiple UV coats

  5. UV design image export
